Growth Strategy Planning
Jim Joseph Foundation and Moishe House engaged Olive Grove in 2011 to design and facilitate a growth planning process to take the organization from start up to an established $5,000,000 organization over five years. Moishe House is shifting the paradigm on engagement of young Jewish adults and in its first five years grew to establish presence in 14 countries with over 50,000 participants annually. With a visionary but relatively young staff, Moishe House needed the expertise and guidance of Olive Grove to develop a collective and cohesive vision for the future, and design a plan to build the financial, staffing and infrastructure to support that vision. Olive Grove created an inclusive process that engaged the board and other key funders and stakeholders. The outcome was a five-year strategic growth plan with recommendations on governance, fundraising, infrastructure and staffing, a renewed sense of purpose from the Moishe House board, and confident staff leadership. Based on the organization’s new vision and plan, Moishe House received a significant funding renewal and opportunities to engage new funders.
